Inaugural Dressage Horse Show Series with an inviting feel for beginner riders, green horses, and those starting their show careers. An exciting new venture for Grand Slam Equestrian, we are pleased to welcome L Graduates (primarily with Distinction) to judge.
We have designed these shows with beginners in mind as we strive to set up the next generation for success. Trainers are allowed to have headsets on their riders and coach them through their tests every step of the way. Horse Showing is supposed to be fun, and professionals working together to help riders achieve success in a safe environment is our number one priority.
WHAT IS A FIX A TEST?
The purpose of a FIX A TEST is to help riders identify common dressage issues, understand how to correct them using effective aids and position, and immediately apply what they've learned in a supportive, hands-on format. This is a great way to get immediate feedback on a specific test from a licensed official. Another way to think of it is as a clinic or mini-session. It is incredibly helpful for riders and or green horses.
Our FIX A TEST dates will count towards our series high score awards and include ribbons! No additional membership is necessary. We will be awarding high score awards to riders who participate in a minimum of three shows in the following seven categories:
Short Stirrup 12 & Under
Junior 13-17
Amateur 18-35
Steady Saddler 36-49
Silver Saddle Master 50-59
Golden Saddle Master 60+
Open Professionals 18+
For points to count towards the series high score awards, the top three scores from the three shows you attend will count. For the FIX A TEST dates, the highest score will be used, either prior to instruction or after if the judge has you ride the test a second time.
