What's in a name?

Choosing a name for a business is no easy feat. It has to represent the business, the professional associated with it, it has to be easily recognizable as a brand, and memorable, too. I struggled to come up with a name that defined me as a professional equestrian in the industry for a long time. Nothing I had pondered over the years had a powerful enough meaning behind it for me, and I felt like the names I had come up with over the years were just too self-centered. I wanted a name that represented just how many people are involved in the success of a horse and rider - the team behind the team, if you will.
In 2016, after Scott Brash's victory as the first rider in the world to ever win the Grand Prix at the four shows in direct succession (called the Rolex Grand Slam of Show Jumping), and claiming my own professional status in the 2016 show season, I formed what you know today as Grand Slam Equestrian, L.L.C.
