Brotherly Love joined us at the end of 2024. "Cappy" served 12 years as a Mounted Police Horse in the City of Philadelphia before retiring from the line of duty. He worked Phillies and Eagles tailgate lots solo. Captain had 22 starts as a racehorse prior to joining the police force. He Won two races, both in Philadelphia at Parx Racing. Over the course of his three year racing career Cappy earned roughly $80k.The Philadelphia area was a special place for Captain and we were glad to provide his retirement locally.
Captain entered his third career era with us and helped build the confidence of riders beginning their journey with horses. He has a special tie to Nina’s program of foundation lesson horses. He joined us just before Christmas like Ellie did many years prior. He also coincidentally shared Superboy’s birthday. Cappy lives on forever in our hearts.

Career Highlights:
2025- DVCTA Open Intro Level- Third Triangle Show Series Open Intro Level- Reserve Champion Captain proved to enjoy Dressage and teaching lateral moments to riders at GSE Cappy took a student down centerline for her first time as part of the Superboy Show Series and had great first scores. Qualified for TIP Championships in Intro Level Dressage |
